2026 Founders’ Dinner

We are delighted to confirm that the Old Lancastrian Club Founders' Dinner will take place on Friday 3 July 2026 at Lancaster Golf Club,  this popular event ends the very successful year of Barry Wild as president and welcomes Ian Whitehouse as the new president for 2026-7.

The format of the evening will be:

6.30 p.m. OL Club Annual General Meeting (Golf Club Committee Room) (OLC members only)

7.00 p.m Diners not attending the meeting are welcome to arrive and meet in the Golf Club pay bar

7.30 p.m. - Diners seated (Golf Club dining room)

Speeches and Toasts　

"The Old Lancastrian Club" - the Headmaster, "The School" - OL Club President; "Loyal Toast" - OL Club Chairman

The cost is £45 per person which includes a welcome drink, a three course dinner and after dinner tea / coffee.  Thanks to the generosity of the OL Club, students pay just £25 per person.

The dress code for the evening is

Gentlemen - suit or jacket/blazer, with collar & tie

Starters

Homemade Tomato and Basil soup, with home baked sourdough bread

Chicken Liver parfait, served with homemade chutney, pickle and toast

LGC Prawn Cocktail, Icelandic prawns, samphire grass, bloody Mary mayonnaise, shredded gem and buttered wholemeal bread

Mains

Chicken Supreme, Mozzarella, tomato and pesto, served with spring onion mash potato and glazed carrots

Salmon with a Puttanesca Sauce, served with confit heritage carrots and fondant potato

Truffle and Wild mushroom Risotto, served with parmesan cheese and herb salad

Desserts

Selection of cheese, served with biscuits and chutney

Chocolate and caramel delice

Peach and Almond tartlet, served with lemon sorbet

Tea and coffee
