Sixth Form Open Evening Tuesday 15 October 2019
Parents and prospective students are welcome to come and experience what makes Lancaster Royal Grammar School Sixth Form such a unique, supportive and vibrant place to learn, both in and out of the classroom.
The Sixth Form Open Evening takes place on Tuesday 15 October at 5.30pm.
Come and visit our new Sixth Form Centre, which has recently opened after a £1.9m refurbishment of the school’s oldest building, in Old School House.
Lancaster Royal Grammar School is consistently placed among the top state schools in the country. In 2019, A-level students achieved top A and A* grades in more than 52% of all the exams that they sat.
The Open Evening will provide visitors with an opportunity to look around the school classrooms and meet the teachers. There are more than 20 A-level courses to choose from and there will be plenty of people around to offer advice on subject combinations and future implications. Sixth Form guides will be on hand for you to quiz as you move around the school.
There will be scheduled talks from Sarah Haigh, Head of Sixth Form, Headmaster, Dr Pyle and some current Sixth Form pupils. Please come along and find out more about boarding opportunities, bursaries, transition, careers, the Extended Project Qualification and the extracurricular activities that are on offer.
We are also excited to be able to offer boarding to girls and boys from September 2020. There will be more information available at the Open Evening, including the opportunity to meet boarding staff.
