The Girl From the Last Train

The Friends of LRGS have organised an event with Lady Milena Grenfell-Baines.

Milena came to England on the last Winton train from Prague in 1939 and was thus saved from the atrocities inflicted on the Jewish population in Nazi occupied Czechoslovakia. Her informative talk will have you mesmerised with its mixture of poignancy and humour, and is accompanied by an audio-visual presentation sharing compelling moments of her life. Those of you who have seen the recent film “One Life” will recognise Lady Milena as one of the Winton’s children.

The talk is suitable for adults and children aged 10 and older. Light refreshments will be served before and after the talk.

Saturday 9 March 2024 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM (UTC+00)
