Speech Day 2022

Congratulations to all students receiving prizes at Speech Day on this special year celebrating 550 years of LRGS.  It was wonderful to host the event in the Ashton Hall in Lancaster Town Hall after a three-year hiatus, to bring together teachers, staff, parents, Old Lancastrians and distinguished guests, including Lord and Lady Shuttleworth and Deputy Mayor Ross Hunter.

The LRGS Big Band entertained everyone with their fantastic performances featuring some brilliant solos.

Mr Howard Roberts, Chair of Governors, welcomed everyone before Headmaster Dr Pyle gave the report on the year (attached below).

Thank you to OL Paddy Earnshaw for presenting the prizes and for being guest speaker, you can read his speech in full below.

Finally, Head of School Oliver Biswas gave his vote of thanks before everyone sang the National Anthem accompanied by organist Daniel Harper, Lower Sixth.
