Welcome to the LRGS website

Lancaster Royal Grammar School is a selective, voluntary-aided school for boys, aged 11-18.  A state boarding school, we offer flexible boarding to 200 of our pupils and have a thriving Sixth Form of 350.

It has been a very 'interesting' start to the term, including the first closure for some considerable time, but hopefully we are now beyond the worst of the winter weather.  My thanks to all pupils, parents and staff for your forbearance and positive attitude throughout.

We were pleased to welcome students both from within LRGS and from other schools at our Sixth Form Open Evening on 25 January.  Anyone external students considering applying to the Sixth Form at LRGS in 2010 are encouraged to send in their application forms as soon as possible.

Best wishes to you all for 2010.

Andrew Jarman
