Lettings and facilities

At Lancaster Royal Grammar School we regularly let our school facilities to a variety of organisations, from locally-based community groups, who use our teaching rooms at weekends, to national and international institutions, who make use of our residential facilities during the school holidays.

What we can offer

We are situated in the historic city of Lancaster in North Lancashire, close to the Lake District and Morecambe Bay.  We are within easy reach of the M6 motorway (15 minutes) and close to major rail links (2.5 hours to London, Glasgow and Edinburgh) and international airports (1.5 hours to Manchester and Liverpool airports).  The school is situated next to the picturesque Williamson Park, with its landmark Ashton Memorial, and is based in extensive grounds, split over two sites.  Some school buildings date from the Victorian era, while others, such as our most recent boarding accommodation, are just a few years old.

We can offer use of our teaching rooms and assembly hall for after school and weekend use.  For those looking for residential accommodation during school holidays, we can provide state-of-the-art facilities, with a choice of dormitory and single, en-suite rooms.  Each group's requirements are dealt with on an individual basis. The details of each booking are tailored to match the needs of the organisation. We respond fully to all requests, ranging from specific catering requirements to the allocation of rooms and facilities.

Recent and on-going bookings include:

• Residential accommodation for seminars, revision schools,  language schools and activity weeks
• Community Events, including music tuition groups and choral societies
• Conferences
• Business meetings
