Sixth Form students met author, philosopher and theologian Dr Peter Vardy for a lecture about Sexual Ethics this week.
On Wednesday, a group of LRGS Philosophy students visited Bolton School for the public lecture. Dr Peter Vardy has a passion for engaging young people with the big questions that affect them. Able to communicate complex ideas with clarity, accuracy and humour, he is internationally well known as a leader in the fields of Religious Studies, Philosophy and Ethics and Values Education. He was the vice-principal of the University of London’s Heythrop College from 1999-2011, and has also written some sixteen books, including the Puzzle series.
The event was an invaluable experience for those interested by questions of ethics and involved talking about the challenges presented to young people by sex and relationships.
