Thomas Fort will be travelling to Germany to represent the UK in the German Language World Olympics this summer after succeeding in the national stages.
Tom came second in the national German Language World Olympics recently. He has won a two week all expenses paid trip to Freiburg this summer.
He performed extremely well in the national challenges at the Goethe Institute in London which were very competitive, and Tom was one of youngest entrants. He completed listening tests and marketing tasks.
Thomas got through the first round of the competition with his 2 minute video: ‘How German Changed my Life’. See his entry on YouTube
Mrs Boak, Head of German at LRGS said: “It is a massive achievement and a fantastic prize and opportunity. The judges were very complimentary about Thomas and his German ability and skills.”
