Sixth Formers from Lancaster Royal Grammar School made it through to the national final of a competition for young people run by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
The team took part in the Business, Accounting and Skills Education (BASE) competition in June which tested their business skills. Over 500 schools entered the competition and 50 teams competed in the final.
Mr Wareing, Head of Business Management and Economics at Lancaster Royal Grammar School, said: “The BASE competition provides students with the opportunity to apply their learning to a work place situation and offers a taste of what it’s really like to work as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.”
The team were successful earning a Highly Commended Award and included: Ben Norris (who also won ‘Best Individual’), Joe McDermott, Simon Chan, Rohan Parekh and Will Littley.
