The Assembly Hall turned into a pop-up kitchen today and Year 7 went head to head in a team cook off.
Chef James from Chartwells, led a fun session which taught pupils all about the importance of breakfast, food groups and how what we eat affects our bodies and our ability to learn.
Then two teams were selected to go against each other against the clock to create two healthy meals in 15 minutes. The Green team created a cauliflower and chickpea curry with couscous. The red team cooked up Thai fishcakes with five spiced flavoured noodles.
After taste testing from ten Year 7 food critics, the crowd voted for the Green team to win, but it was very close.
Thanks to our school caterers Chartwells for bringing their Fun into Food programme to our school.
