Sam Stott has been reflecting on being Captain of the England Counties U18 team after taking part in a two match tour of Ireland earlier this month.
On representing England Counties U18 as the team captain, Sam Stott said: “It was a very surreal moment, I didn’t really take it in because it was like a dream and to lead this team will be a huge honour. I had a fantastic week in Dublin with a great set of lads. We didn’t achieve the results we wanted but I had an amazing experience in the white shirt!”
Head of Games and Director of Rugby at Lancaster Royal Grammar School, Evan Stewart said: “Sam Stott has led the 1st XV fantastically well all year and this is no more than he deserves. He has developed into a top class player and leader. He should be very proud of his achievements.”
