LRGS is pleased to announce that the latest Lancastrian year book has just been published and is currently being distributed to our current and former pupils and the wider school family.
This edition is the final one for Editor Nicholas Thorn who has been involved in editing the magazine for many years. He began in 1997 when he joined the school and supervised several issues before taking a break. He has edited every edition since 2011 to present-day. Dr Thorn is retiring to pursue new projects this summer after twenty years service at LRGS.
Dr Pyle said: “I am very grateful to Nicholas Thorn for all of his meticulous work behind the scenes on the magazine over the years. We look forward to sending him future editions of the Lancastrian, which he will be able to enjoy without having to proof-read every photo caption and pupil’s name!”
This edition is packed with news of the boys' achievements and activities during the academic year 2015-16. It is a great celebration showcasing the wide range of extra-curricular opportunities that the boys take part in, from the creative arts to sport and the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, and including reports on school trips ranging from Ingleton and Grasmere to Greece and Nepal.
It also contains news from the boarding houses, reports on staff changes, and updates on the activities of some of our Old Lancastrians (former pupils).
