Business Students through to the BASE National Final

Sixth Formers studying Business Management have made it through to the national final of a competition for young people run by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

The team took part in the first heat of the Business, Accounting and Skills Education (BASE) competition last week which tested their business skills. They beat some tough competition from schools around Lancashire and after coming out on top, they will now take part in the national final in June.

Mr Wareing, Head of Business Management and Economics said: “The BASE competition provides students with the opportunity to apply their learning to a work place situation and offers a taste of what it’s really like to work as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.”
