This is an exciting project which has been testing the design and production skills of students in a real life working scenario. They were all given an artefact with a design brief to construct a mount that would be capable of displaying it safely and correctly.

Many of the students have recreated their artefact using the 3D printer to assist in building a suitable stand or mount.

Dr Dot Boughton, Assistant Curator at Tullie House Museum said: "Our exhibitions team just wanted to say a huge thanks to you for all your efforts in making the mounts for our exhibition.

You can be really proud of the students: they made some really great mounts in what was very difficult circumstances – normally professionals will take exact measurements on-site or, in the very least, on the real objects, so what your students accomplished was no mean feat."
