New Designs for our Old Lancastrians

Following the arrival of girls into Sixth Form in 2019, this year has led to an exciting development which has seen Rebecca, Deputy Head of School, working with a group of students to design a silk scarf for ladies joining the Old Lancastrian club.

Rebecca said: “The introduction of girls into the new coeducational sixth form brings innovation and the need for a fitting alternative to the OL tie that can be worn with pride, by female Old Lancastrians. Over the last few months, I have been working alongside members of the OL committee as well as current female students to design an OL silk scarf which is as striking as the OL tie and can be worn by future Old Lancastrians. The scarf possesses the classic OL stripes as well as the OL crest, representing the perfect ensemble of tradition and innovation. Hopefully in time, the scarf will become as iconic as the tie.”
