The planning is done, the talking is over, the vision is captured.

The time has come – to renew the school.

A few years ago, we worked with governors, parents and staff to try and capture the essence of LRGS and agreed upon the following words which we all believe sum up the spirit of the school: tradition, belonging, heart, opportunity, challenge, inspiration, achievement and excellence.  We have endeavoured to encapsulate this spirit in the following video, showing the school both past and present.

It was in 1851 that the school was moved from its original position beyond the Priory.  Since then, progressive redevelopment has taken advantage of circumstance and timely opportunity.  For over two years we have been giving careful consideration to the school’s future exploring how we can ensure its strength and purpose for the next 150 years.

This has culminated in a Plan for Renewal comprising educational philosophy alongside structures for finance and buildings redevelopment.

The planning is done, the talking is over, the vision is captured.

The time has come – to renew the school.
